worst sounds to wake up to

- Cats in heat. Or cats mating. It is always in the middle of the night, and it is always in my backyard. It sounds horrifying and painful. It sucks to be a cat. But it sucks even more to be the one woken up to their love cries.
- Eager gardeners. Lately, I’ve been woken up at 6 AM to the sound of lawn mowers. What sane person mows their lawn at 6 AM? I understand you are trying to beat the heat but there is not even sunlight at that hour. Isn’t there a law against noise disturbance before sunrise?
In the darkness, I hope the crying cats get mowed “by mistake.”

a bit off topic, but the first time i ever saw dogs doing the deed was in 4th grade, sitting on the bus, and caught completely off guard. i was so confused as to WTF they were doing and it took the kid behind me saying ‘look at those two dogs ****ing!!!’ to a roar of laughter on the bus. it is still a bit of a surreal memory to this day because WHAT HAS BEEN SEEN CANNOT BE UNSEEN. ugh.
i am with you on #1. #2 would piss me off too. i don’t live in the burbs anymore so i don’t ever really hear lawn mowers anymore. but now i hear roosters (not anymore thank god) and cats in heat.
the first time i heard cats in heat was in front of my parents house….and i had never heard the sound before. i looked out my window and saw two cats with their backs arched..i thought it was a catfight. then they were just rubbing on each other. i agree..very bad sound. i hate waking up to my dog barking loudly because he thought he heard something. so now i’m awake and wondering if someone is downstairs.
